This styled shoot in the Atlas mountains was inspired by the beautiful environment of the Kasbah Bab Ourika, located only 40 min from the city of Marrakech and the idea was to create a ‘boho’ and rustic wedding atmosphere, away from the usual images that come to mind when you think ‘weddings in Morocco’: Arabian nights, blue skies, desert and palmtrees (not that I don’t like these!) , and away from the hustle and bustle of the city Marrakech.
The Kasbah Bab Ourika, is a boutique hotel, built on a hilltop, at the apex of the Ourika Valley, looking down to the river, green fields and groves of olives, oranges and lemons and up to the dazzling mountain peaks. It’s a perfect eco-friendly place constructed mainly from pisé (rammed earth) and has the most beautiful organic vegetable garden. This is a lovely venue which often hosts weddings. I’ve already written about it HERE and HERE
We had with Ma Colline wedding planner, this idea of a very « green » table, with traditional handmade pottery from Morocco, wild flowers, wooden table and chairs, touch of orange & yellow tones on the table…
We’ve worked on 3 different hairstyles for the bride, offering a very bohemian gypsy kind of style, yet elegant.
I hope this shoot could be inspirational for couples wanting to have a very relaxed wedding among nature, with spectacular landscapes…
